NPP Klottey-Korle Strengthens Its Grassroots

The Klottey Korle constituency of the New Patriotic Party has begun intensive sensitization exercise for its constituents in preparation for the 2016 general elections.

Exporting Should Be Priority Of GUTA & Chamber Of Commerce – Seth Terkper

The Finance Minister, Seth Terkper has urged local businesses to collaborate with the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) to raise more revenue from export products.

Touching on the current economic pressures on the Ghanaian citizenry, Mr. Terkper admitted that Ghana's currency has lost its value against the US Dollar but ascribed the situation to the attitude of local producers and Ghanaian consumers.

Gov’t Has Not Put A Moratorium On Acquisition Of New Loans – John Jinapor

Deputy Energy Minister John Abdulai Jinapor has indicated that the Government of Ghana has not ceased soliciting loans to revive the economy.

Contributing to discussions on the 2014 Mid-Year Budget Review presented by the Finance Minister, Seth Terkper, on the floor of Parliament on Wednesday; Mr. Jinapor reinforced the essence of governments taking loans to facilitate projects and other social interventions.

Fuel Price Increment Should’ve Been 36%, But…. - NPA Boss

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority, Moses Asaga has called on Ghanaians to cooperate with government in the wake of the recent increase in petroleum products.

According to Mr. Asaga, fuel is not a cheap commodity and as a result, government cannot continue to subsidize it. He noted that the current fuel price increment is a step in the right direction.

CoP: Gospel Musician Cecilia Marfo Suspended For Flouting Church Policies

Earlier reports gathered by peacefmonline.com indicated that renowned gospel musician, Cecilia Marfo, had been ex-communicated from the Church of Pentecost for opening and operating a prayer camp which is against the policies of the church.

According to the Ashaiman area head of Pentecost, Cecilia Marfo was called and advised several times to desist from operating the prayer camp but she refused.
