NPP Parliamentary candidate for Ofoase-Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has called on the Police Service to arrest the persons who allegedly hurled stones at the Presidential convoy on Wednesday.
President John Dramani Mahama and his entourage trooped into the Ejisu municipality in the Ashanti Region as part of his 'Accounting to the People' tour.
Touring the municipality, the President's convoy is said to have been attacked by some residents as they allegedly threw stones against it.
Though the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has denied the reports, the Ofoase-Ayirebi Parliamentary candidate believes such acts should not be condoned by any political party in the country.
According to him, whether the perpetrators are fanatics of the NPP, the ruling National Democratic Congress or any other party; it doesn't exempt them from facing the laws of the nation.
He therefore wants the Police to begin investigations into the incident, stressing that any person found guilty should not be left off the hook. |
