Nana Ofori Owusu, a member of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), has described President John Dramani Mahama as a "puppet and a remote control" Head of State.
According to Nana Ofori Owusu, President John Mahama cannot make any decisions without bootlicking to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Rubbishing the government's IMF bailout which according to the Finance Minister is to reduce high budget deficits and also stabilize the economy, Nana Ofori Owusu stated categorically that the President is "doing the bidding of white people and following the instructions of a white person sitting somewhere. The white person has told you at IMF to tax your citizenry to death.”
He said on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' that President Mahama has lost his control over the country and so, left the administration of the nation in the hands of the IMF.
To him, the President has been very susceptible and subservient to the orders from the IMF, and would compromise his position just to please them.
“IMF is now ruling Ghana. (President) Mahama is a puppet. He dances when they tell him to dance because they are holding the strings. The IMF tells him to tax his citizens and then he runs helter-skelter to tax them. Go and collect the monies, he quickly runs to do it . . . Now, the IMF has made Mahama a ‘puppet’ President.”
Nana Ofori Owusu continued that President Mahama has been turned into a "remote control President who does what somebody tells him to do . . . Is this a current government? This is a government who wants us to ignore our independence and go in search for a white person to rule over us.” |
