NDC Ablekuma Central MP, Theophilus Tetteh Chai has called on the outgoing National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to accept defeat and rally their support behind the President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Contributing to Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Hon. Tetteh Chai advised gvernment officials to guide Nana Addo and his NPP to achieve their aims and objectives for the national growth instead of antagonizing him.
According to him, the NDC going into opposition is an opportunity for them to shape the economy by making constructive criticisms and assessment of the NPP's governance.
“We have to accept the results and support the winner, and also help him to achieve good initiatives he has for the nation . . . We should wait for the government to settle and look at ways that we can all help him to achieve that target. Because at the end of the day, if he’s able to achieve it; it will help all of us.”
He further urged the party leadership and members to stop the blame game and rather organize the NDC to take over the reins of power in the next elections. |
