Nana Ofori Owusu, a member of the Progressive People's Party, has urged Ghanaians to treat with contempt the issues of plagiarism regarding the inaugural speech by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Speaking on Peace FM's 'kokrokoo' programme, Nana Ofori Owusu wondered why the issue of plagiarism seems to have taken the centre stage of political discourse in the country.
According to him, plagiarism will not feed him neither will it bring any development to the country and so, much attention should not be given to whether the President plagiarized speeches by some world leaders or not.
To him, President Nana Akufo-Addo delivered some key words in his speech during his inauguration ceremony at the Black Star Square on Saturday, January 7 and he has taken notice of the promises made by the President.
He will therefore begin to mark the President and his government's performance and measures aimed at achieving their objectives for the country; this is of interest to him than joining the fray to score political points.
" . . I am not going to choose to build a negative image. I’m building a positive image for Ghana. We must all have good thoughts," he advised. |
