NPP Communications Director, Nana Boakye has described the inauguration of the Kwame Nkrumah Circle interchange as a total waste of money.
Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Nana Boakye noted that the funfair that accompanied the inauguration exposes the extravagance of the Mahama administration.
According to him, the Kwame Nkrumah interchange is not the first interchange constructed in the nation but the previous governments didn't mobilize the entire nation to witness it in grand style like President John Mahama and his government did on Monday evening.
He recounted that the erstwhile Kufour government erected about 9 interchanges but didn't waste money like the incumbent government.
Nana Boakye also noted that his checks revealed that the inauguration ceremony of the "Circle interchange was transmitted across 11 television networks and all were paid for by the government."
“It’s waste of money. It’s not like we have seen it before…Let’s think about the country a little and not waste money because elections are impending. Meanwhile, President Kufour did far better than what we’re even experiencing,” he said.
