Eazzy May Dump Keitta Over Bonking

Eazzy and Keita

Sexy songstress Eazzy, who represented Ghana in the Big Brother Africa StarGame reality show, has stated emphatically that she will break up with Keitta if he gets sexually involved with any of the housemates in the Big Brother house.

Eazzy and Keitta, her boyfriend, represented Ghana as a couple in the Downville house of the reality show.

The two were the first couple to ever enter the 91-day show and were unfortunately separated after Eazzy was evicted and Keitta upgraded to the Upville house.

Keitta is undoubtedly the hottest guy in that house. He is the prey of the females in the house especially Maneta, who was unfortunately disqualified from the show Tuesday.

In spite of the numerous temptations, the ‘Go Go wind’ singer, in an interview on Hang Out on Cruise Control on Hitz FM with Kwame B, said she was always careful in her relationships not to cheat and expected that her partner reciprocated that gesture.

According to her, “I don’t forgive. I forgive a lot of things but not unfaithfulness.”

The decision to end the relationship with the brother of hip life’s originator, Reggie Rockstone, should he break their love code, is borne out of her vows not to share her man with anyone.

“It’s just me and how I like my relationships. I am a one-woman one-man kind of thing and it’s a bond that we’ve established,” she said.

SARKODIE & D'BANJ - Come To Me (EXCLUSIVE NEW COLLABORATION)

Mzbel & Majid Turn Pastors

The God of Heaven has chosen sexy, saucy singer Mzbel and award-winning actor Majid Michel to become a prophetess and an Evangelist respectively.

This was revealed by Leader and Founder of Baidoo Gospel Church International, Nyame Akwaa Paemuka Senior, who said he had seen this in a vision from Jehovah God.

“I saw in a vision that I was in a very big church with a huge congregation and when it was time for preaching it was Majid who went forward.

He was dressed in an all-white suit and as he was preaching people were receiving their healing; the blind started seeing and the deaf started hearing. Cripples were leaving their wheel chairs and running forward.

“I asked God what that meant and He said Majid has been chosen and destined to become an Evangelist. God told me that the fame Majid has earned over the years would become a major tool through which he would spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” Paemuka Senior told NEWS-ONE in an interview on Tuesday.

The man of God said he was yet to disclose the vision to Majid in person because the actor was on location in Nigeria.

Paemuka Senior said he had however told Mzbel of a vision he saw, to the effect that she would become a Prophetess very soon and be known as ‘Osofo Maame Akua’.

According to the pastor, he was on Adom FM’s evening program when he asked the Producer to call Mzbel on phone for him to inform her of her divine calling from God to become a Prophetess.

“Henceforth anyone who calls her Osofo Maame Akua or Osofo Maame Mzbel will be blessed but if you do not add Osofo Maame to her name, you would be cursed.

She may either marry a pastor and join him to do God’s work or she would eventually start her own church and become a Prophetess.

“When God speaks we must obey rather than attack the integrity of the prophets.

I have seen these things in a vision from God and it is my duty to bring them out and tell the whole world.

You better believe it and pray about it because what God told me about Kennedy Agyepong that he was bound to get into trouble had come to pass.

When I first said it, no one believed me. People called me an attention seeker,” Paemuka Senior stated.

He said the Baidoo Gospel Church International was based in Akomadan in the Offinso North district of the Ashanti Region.

Meanwhile Mzbel has declined to comment on the development and Majid was out of the country therefore could not be reached.

We cannot allow evil to triumph – Rawlings

Ghana’s former President, Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings has lamented the abuse of the internet to portray immorality especially among the youth and called on parents to exercise stricter controls on the actions of their children.

The former President lamented situations where sexual acts involving minors are springing up on the Internet and mobile phones in an alarming fashion and questioned the motivation for people to record depraved sexual acts and pass them on to the rest of the world through the World Wide Web.

He called for strong prayer to eliminate such immorality from our society and cautioned, “we cannot allow evil to triumph”.

Speaking to the congregation during last Sunday’s service at the Action Chapel, President Rawlings said he was appalled to see on the internet recently, a recording of a 13-year-old and a four-year-old indulging in a sexual act and wondered why whoever discovered the act did not rather call in the parents of the children but rather chose to record it and eventually release it onto the Internet.

President Rawlings, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings and a host of friends and sympathisers of the June 4 uprising were at the Action Chapel, Spintex Road for a thanksgiving service to climax activities marking the 33rd anniversary of June 4. The former President also called for prayer to help flush out evil personalities who are perpetrating murder across the country especially in the Volta Region where a number of women have been murdered over the past few months.

He said:

“There is an unholy ghost in the country who wants to remain a force by using murder and violence. If it is within the NDC or NPP, let the good ones within those parties flush them out. If it is within our social set up, let us expose them. We have become too vulnerable.”

President Rawlings also spoke about the recent flight accident at the Kotoka International Airport and stated that such situations are not good enough. He suggested there are enough exceptional retired pilots who can be recalled to assist with the re-training of pilots who ply within the region and expose them to challenging scenarios such as landing during heavy downpours to avert future disasters.

The General Overseer of the Christian Action Faith Ministries, Archbishop Duncan Williams in a passionate sermon charged the congregation to show gratitude always to people who show them kindness. Archbishop Duncan Williams expressed gratitude to President Rawlings for giving rise to the Charismatic movement in Ghana through various forms of support and cautioned against ingratitude.

The General Overseer said:

“When you refuse to appreciate you depreciate. When you show ingratitude you will diminish. Ingratitude attracts a curse. Gratitude is the seed for all and ingratitude keeps you short. When you respect greatness you attract greatness. What you celebrate will always come to you”.

Archbishop Duncan Williams also charged his congregation not allow discouragement to fester in their lives.

“When you discourage you miscarry. Discouragement is the trusted weapon of Satan. Discouragement is a luxury you cannot afford. It attracts a suicidal spirit,” he said.

Statement: Police attack Journalist in Hohoe

The Volta Regional branch of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) wants to express its deep concern about police assault last Sunday on Mr Victor Kwawukume, a journalist working for the Daily Graphic and the GJA Chairman for the Region.

We are utterly dismayed at the physical violence visited on Mr Kwawukume who was performing lawful duty and call on the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) to set up an independent body to investigate the matter.

The fact that the police could attack a journalist on duty in broad daylight is a great worry to us and danger to media freedom.

We cannot understand what crime he may have committed by taking shots of police action in the public view.

This year being an election year, we believe the police must be very responsible in its duty to protect and defend the rights of innocent civilians including journalists.

We strongly condemn the incivility and hope a thorough investigation will be conducted and people found culpable brought to book.

BUILDING A STRONG NATION THROUGH EFFECTIVE HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.

ACCOUNT OF GHANA’S ECONOMY

Ghana in its historic annals is referred as a beacon of hope and gateway to Africa. The country over the years has made successful exploits in various sectors such as agriculture, education, minerals, soccer and business.

Cocoa production has hiked up and the discovery of oil in the country promises to be a lucrative venture for the nation. Ghana as one of the leading manufacturers of gold, bauxite and other natural resources in Africa has created avenues for foreign investors to showcase their products and also establish businesses across the economy.

Nonetheless, the country has experienced a backlash for being a middle-income economy yet underdeveloped. This situation has arisen out of a number of factors such as inadequate infrastructure, poverty, inadequate education.

Though the progress of every economy is a vital attraction to investors and the citizenry, it has to adopt certain measures to either develop or sustain the development of the economy. This is why an effective human resource management is a significant tool to ensure a greater development of the nation.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Bratton and Gold (2007:7) define human resource management as “a strategic approach to managing employment relations which emphasizes that leveraging people’s capabilities is critical to achieving sustainable competitive advantage, this being achieved through a distinctive set of integrated employment policies, programmes and practices.” (as cited by K. A. M. Senya in an article titled “The Ghana Dilemma in Human Resource Management - The HR Planning Issue”)

According to this definition, the keyword to note is “managing employment relations which emphasizes that leveraging people’s capabilities is critical…”, therefore to effectively manage human resource; it is important that the services of the people in the nation are utilized.

FACTORS LEADING TO UNDERDEVELOPMENT IN GHANA

Four areas to keenly take note of are practical training and education, employment, technological approach and strategic corporate entities.

The backbone of a successful economy is education. Education bridges the gap between the illiterate and the literate. As the world has become a global village, every country would like to put proper educational structures in place to catch up with the global trend. Ghana is reported to have about 60% of illiterates compared to the literacy rate. This however drags the nation backward and also drains the image of the country. Therefore, a lot must be done to build a strong force for the economy.

Also, the educated ones are basically given theories in schools and left to their fate to put the theories into practice in order to build a good career. Many institutions in the country lack the ability to practically demonstrate what they teach the students and this is a major setback since a chunk of these students end up in different fields. For instance, a student studies journalism in a university but later ends up as a teacher because there was little or no practical training for him or her.

EFFECTIVE HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT TO BUILD A STRONG NATION

Ghanaians should have equal educational opportunities and must be given the necessary assistance to further their education to a higher institution.

Governments and institutions must incorporate practical training in their curricula. Practical training helps the students to practice what they learn before they complete their years in the institutions. When they practise whilst in the institutions, the country gains minds which are not only theoretically intelligent but come with their expertise to boost the economy in their various fields. Most companies prefer employees who are skilled and can practically deliver their services; the country as well needs citizens who are skilled and productive.

Managing human resource in this area entails skilled and strong working force that are practically productive. And when the nation’s resources are entrusted to the hands of this group of people, it can be assured of good service delivery which is a step to attract more foreign investors and develop the nation.

Furthermore, employment opportunities should be created for the citizens in order to promote high productivity in the economy. Low rate of employment sinks the nation’s progress and it is very prudent that industries are set up to employ the masses who are unemployed. Unemployment breeds several social vices such as theft, armed robbery, fraud and other dubious businesses which dent the image of the country. The image of the country serves as a brand to the world and the African continent. So, when a vast number of people are employed, it paints a good image for the country and also increases the country’s gross domestic product.

These are all forms of managing a proper human resource in the country to enhance Ghana’s image on the world map.

Adequate technical know-how and strategic business firms also bring about lots of development in the country. As the world advances, technology also advances and it is therefore incumbent on the country to utilize its technological base. This improves the systems in the country and also advances the development of the economy. Workers should be equipped with technological equipment and given adequate technical know-how to ensure the nation is not left out so far as technology is concerned.

For instance; If petroleum engineering workers will be equipped with the various instruments and machines that pertain to their field, there will be adequate human resources to manage the petroleum industry.

Corporate organizations and businesses should also adopt strategic measures to encourage employees to work hard. Employers and employees are obliged to use human resource management as a vital tool to promote the image, brand and development of their companies. It is advisable for a company to set up a human resource department.

The department is very significant in an organization to settle managerial disputes or employee problems in a professional manner. Human resource management forms an integral part of a company’s success and also provides the consultancy an employee needs.

Human resource management in a company also creates room for seminars and business meetings to be arranged for the company in order to keep the company abreast of the competitive trends in the market and other businesses.

WHY HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT IN GHANA?

Several reasons explaining the importance of an effective human resource management in Ghana have already been cited but in a nutshell, when there is effective human resource management in an organization, there will be a professional work team and this is not isolated from the benefits the country enjoys.

Since the companies are established in the country and most of them have their headquarters in Ghana, a proper human resource management in the companies can be translated as a proper means of high productivity in the country.

As a result, an effective human resource management in Ghana will accrue numerous benefits which will build a good image for the country, hence an opportunity for Ghana to move from a middle-income economy to a high income status.

Mzbel: I Have A Crush On Pastor Mensah Otabil

Sexy and controversial singer, Nana Akua Amoah known in showbiz circles as Mzbel has openly confessed that she has a crush on the Founder and leader of the International Central Gospel Church, (ICGC), Pastor Mensah Otabil.

According to Mzbel, who describes Pastor Otabil as ‘hot’ and charismatic, the preacher possesses all the qualities of what she calls a unique man of her choice.

She added that she would have willingly availed herself to be Pastor Otabil if only he was not married.

Mzbel was reacting to a prophecy by Prophet Joshua Awuah Kodon aka Odeefuor Pae Mu Ka that she would one day marry a man of God and become an ‘Osofo Maame.’

Prophet Kodon, who is the founder and General Overseer of Baiddo Gospel International Church at Akomadan in the Ashanti Region, Mzbel’s calling is to be the wife of a pastor and there is no room for bargaining adding that the sassy singer will have no choice than to heed to the call when the time comes.

Speaking on Adom FM’s drive time show, Ofie Kwanso, Mzbel revealed that this was not the first time she was receiving such a prophecy saying some pastors including award winning gospel artist, Cecilia Marfo had told her on several occasions that she would marry a pastor, while some have said that she would be an evangelist but she did not take them serious.

She also disclosed that she had dated a man of God before and even though it did not work out she would reconsider marrying a pastor if it was worth it adding that she would want to marry a smart, good looking, and sexy man of God.

Herty Borngreat Features Sarkodie In New Single ‘Bebrebe’

Ghana’s reining Artiste of the Year, Sarkodie “Obidiponbidi” can pass as one of the country’s most celebrated secular artistes in the Hip life genre; but he has released a gospel song that talks about his real life story.

The song, ‘Bebrebe’, has not yet been played on any media network and would be officially released this evening. ‘Bebrebe’ is a duet between Sarkodie and award-winning gospel musician, Herty Bongreat, with the beat produced by Kaywa.

The song talks about how Sarkodie’s mother was suffering from ill health and her situation deteriorated to the extent that she almost lost hope until she miraculously got healed. Sarkodie also sings about how God had raised him from obscurity to prominence and blessed his music career so much that he has grabbed some of the industry’s biggest awards.

Herty also sings about the blessing of God in her life and the number of children God has blessed her family with. Indeed, Herty has five strong children all below age 12.

This is the second time Herty is collaborating with a secular artiste for a gospel production. She recently released gospel track ‘Kano Seyaa’ with award-winning hip-hop star, Trigmatic. The collaboration between Trigmatic and Herty sparked a heated controversy and this new track with Sarkodie would not be an exception.

It was difficult reaching Herty to explain the choice of Sarkodie but she had explained the Trig collaboration in a previous interview with NEWS-ONE. “You may call it unusual but the idea is just to get my ministry as a gospel musician to reach a new audience and a large audience for that matter.

Trigmatic is a good artiste and has a large following especially among the youth. If I have to do hip-hop to get the gospel of Christ to hip hop fans, so be it because as the Bible says, I became all things to all persons just to win some for Christ.

“I believe if I was in Jamaica, I would be doing my gospel songs in reggae or raga with the lyrics in Patua because that is the medium through which the message would reach the people.

“In America for instance, Kirk Franklin has really used his style to spread the gospel of Christ and we cannot deny that the hip-hop/hip life genre is very well accepted among Ghanaian youth and it would therefore be prudent that I package the message in a way they would accept,” Herty Bongreat explained to NEWS-ONE.

“I believe any gospel musician who cannot mingle freely and work with musicians who do not belong to the gospel fraternity has a problem.
If we cannot take our message of Christ to our fellow musicians with whom we belong to the same profession, then we have no business attempting to reach others.

I’m proud of the collaboration with Trigmatic because at the end of the day, he has helped my ministry. He has done God’s work and this is just the beginning of such collaborations,” Herty concluded.
It is certainly a great time for Sarkodie who seems to be excelling on all fronts.

He has earned a great deal of respect for himself within the hiplife fraternity and certainly he would make a mark in the gospel grouping with this new one with Herty. Speculations say Sarkodie has recently bought a mansion at Ashalley Botwe in Accra and had also dumped his ‘life-starter’ Toyota Matrix and bought a brand new ‘whip’. Certainly he has every reason to thank God.

Woyome Paid Lawyers GH¢3.9m Cash

-Reveals Ray Smith And Says He Is An Embarrassment To NDC

The 10-page ‘confidential document’ attached to a ‘secret letter’ and sent to President J.E.A. Mills, dated December 19, 2011 which was intercepted by The Special Investigations Team (SIT) of The New Crusading GUIDE apart from containing damning allegations against embattled Alfred Agbesi Woyome, the author also questioned his sincerity.

Ray Smith, the author, revealed to President Mills that “In a written agreement it was stated that Mr. Woyome would represent our company in court and should there be a positive outcome then the proceeds of our part, i.e. 1/3 of the sum in question would be split in 5/9th for Mr. Woyome, 4/9th for my wife and I. Whereby 2/3 of the total sum would be transferred to the construction company”.

When the Court decided that their claim was justified, according to Mr. Smith, they expected Mr. Woyome to fulfill his part of the agreement.

“Only after many reminders and pressure would his Lawyer, Mr. Koka write to us and informed us what amount we had to expect. Apart from an enormous sum of approx. 3,9 million Ghana Cedis for Lawyers’ cost, an amount of EURO 2 Million was mentioned for “other expenses”.

Touching on the sincerity of Mr. Woyome, he wrote “When we met him in February 2001 he was “Nobody”. He was riding on our back for many years, was given possibilities which he may have never had without us but goes so far as to declare that m-Powapak Ltd. is his company and we were working for him…”

The m-Powapak Boss also told President Mills about the private life of his former bossom friend “…It was recently that we got to know the truth. Namely that Mr. Woyome was married to the Nigerian lady already in Libya and that he had 4 children. And that he married his second wife at a very inappropriate time. This is to show the character and sincerity of the gentleman”.

“Finally I like to say that knowing Mr. Woyome so well it becomes very clear to us that he is prepared to use anyone and any situation to achieve his personal ambitions regardless of Party policy and sensibility. If he continues on his present path he can only generate more damage than good. He is so concerned with his own glorification that he does not realise what turmoil he generates and the ammunition he provides to the Opposition. Because he cannot keep his mouth shut he is far from being an asset to the present Government, only a source of unnecessary embarrassment”, Mr. Smith opined.

NB: Read below for the concluding part of the 10-page ‘confidential document’ attached to a ‘secret letter’ and sent to President J.E.A. Mills.

*17. THE MATTER OF OUR CAN 2008 SUPPORT AND WOYOME’S INVOLVEMENT IN THE PAST COURT PROCEEDINGS:

Everything is documented. We, with our company Austro Invest Management and, m-Powapak have worked very hard for many years together with Mr. Woyome to introduce the projects and raise finances.

In a written agreement it was stated that Mr. Woyome would represent our company in court and should there be a positive outcome then the proceeds of our part, i.e. 1/3 of the sum in question would be split in 5/9th for Mr. Woyome, 4/9th for my wife and I. Whereby 2/3 of the total sum would be transferred to the construction company.

Mr. Woyome signed this agreement, together with me.

When the Court decided that our claim was justified we expected Mr. Woyome to fulfill our agreement.

Only after many reminders and pressure would his lawyer, Mr. Koka write to us and informed us what amount we had to expect. Apart from an enormous sum of approx. 3,9 million Ghana Cedis for lawyers’ cost an amount of EURO 2 Million was mentioned for “other expenses”.

We were astonished when we read this and requested Mr. Woyome through his lawyer to explain what for this amount was used.

After three weeks and numerous reminders to Mr. Koka we received another letter informing us that we are not entitled to any amount because we did nothing for the syndication and financial engineering of the projects.

We have given the case again to Mr. Tony Lithur to bring same to Court and also to claim interest as the payment for the claim was done many months ago and it is time that Mr. Woyome understands that he can not rule the world and that justice to all his doings has to be done.

In regard to the CAN 2008 support everything is well documented and is in the hands of our lawyer, Mr. Tony Lithur.

*18. To his numerous and lengthy statements in the media in respect to m-Pawapak Ltd. and to the Consulate I just can say that most of it is simply untrue.

* He was never a shareholder of this company and has never put even one Pesewa into the company – it was rather the opposite. He constantly borrowed money for his own personal use and returned it with great delay or when he was pushed to do so.

* Mr. Woyome had never anything to do with our principal business in our company. He had no involvement in the Red Bull operation as by the time we met him, we distributed Red Bull already since approx. 2 ½ years in Ghana.

* In the early years he wanted to have an office to himself and we were prepared to give him free of charge one of our offices for his use. He bought 2 tables. He applied for a telephone number at GT (which we paid). This number is still in his name and is hardly used. But the fixed costs are paid by us.

As we did the work for our projects in our own office his dedicated office was not used and in 2004 became the office for the Consulate. The two desks remained as his contribution when he became the Hon. Vice-Consul.

* He said on radio that HE, Alfred W. supported the Black Stars to go to Austria to a training camp. Everything he did was to arrange a meeting with the Deputy Minister. The Austrian Government/local government of Carinthia paid a big amount and m-Powapak paid USD 18,000. – Nobody else.

* He further said that HE, Alfred Woyome introduced an NGO from Austria to Ghana and subsequently to the hospital in Sogakope. Those are Eye Doctors who examine hundreds of patients and pay a Ghanaian doctor to do operations, etc.

Actually it was Mrs. Smith who encouraged those eye doctors to work in Sogakope and whenever they come to Ghana organizes everything.

The list could be continued. We are modest people and do not want to be in the limelight but it pains us to hear how Mr. Woyome presents himself and makes false statements.

When we met him in February 2001 he was “Nobody”. He was riding on our back for many years, was given possibilities which he may have never had without us but goes so far as to declare that m-Powapak Ltd. is his company and we were working for him…

On private issues he presented himself as being single with a girlfriend who had born two children in Libya. He told us that she was a Journalist in Libya and since they returned to Ghana her family from Nigeria was constantly in his house and he cannot stand this situation and wants to separate from her.

One day he came to tell us that he lives alone now and is taking care of two children. That he had employed a Nanny and had hired a private teacher so that the children are taken care of.

As we never were invited to his house to see the truth we believed him. We felt pity for him having so much work and no companion. We often encouraged him to find himself a partner and one time when he visited us in Austria at Christmas he met the sister of my wife and expressed his wish to marry her. My wife’s sister showed no interest in him and the subject was closed.

Only in January 2007 were we informed that he found a lady whom he wants to marry. We were happy for him and the couple visited us in Austria.

It was recently that we got to know the truth. Namely that Mr. Woyome was married to the Nigerian lady already in Libya and that he had 4 children. And that he married his second wife at a very inappropriate time. This is to show the character and sincerity of the gentleman.

*19. MISUSE OF HIS FORMER TITLE:

My wife informed Mr. Woyome that he is not permitted to use his title of Hon. Vice-Consul any more. i.e. since November 11, 2008. He ignored this as we all know.

In November the Ambassador of Austria came for a visit and saw in a Newspaper an article about “Consul Alfred Woyome”. He was surprised and wrote a Verbal Note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the request to take care of the issue. The attached copy of the Note Verbal from the Austrian Ambassador speaks volumes.

Mr. Woyome is continuing to present himself to Government and the Public under false pretences.

He permits the Media to believe that he is an “ex Consul” or “Consul General” or has continued rights to a title. But most annoying of all is that he involves constantly the Austrian Consulate which had nothing to do with any projects, work or other issues which are in question. I believe it is his intention that he wants to bring his Consulate in disrepute. I strongly object to this behaviour. I expect that the Austrian Government will not accept such actions.

Finally I like to say that knowing Mr.

Because he cannot keep his mouth shut he is far from being an asset to the present Government, only a source of unnecessary embarrassment.

We received numerous calls from people who know us and who could not understand why Mr. Woyome makes statements on the radio which are far from the truth.

Mrs. Smith and I are peaceable law abiding residents in Ghana and neither of us has the entitlement, or indeed has ever indulged in or participate in local politics.

Whilst Mrs. Smith is the Hon. Consul of Austria she is none the less entitled to be a Director of m-Powapak Ltd. which carries out legitimate business. In my career I was MD/CEO of gold – and diamond mining projects in Africa.

I had enormous responsibilities and gained a reputation for absolute integrity and I therefore take great offence to the apparent attempt by Mr. Woyome to bring any implication to my company of muddy waters.

In the past both, Mrs. Smith and I have made numerous contributions to the benefits of Ghana’s people without attracting limelight.

It is unfortunate and very wrong that recent announcements by Mr. Woyome over the media should attempt to imply any political involvement by the Austrian Consulate.

Ray Smith

Betty ordered payment to Woyome - Witness

The first prosecution witness in the controversial judgment debt saga involving National Democratic Congress financier Alfred Woyome has pointed to former Attorney General Betty Mould Iddrisu as having issued orders for the payment of GHC51 million to be made to Mr Woyome.

Mangua Ghanney, a lawyer at the Finance Ministry told the Commercial Division of the Fast Track High Court, Tuesday, she received a letter from Betty Mould directing the ministry to pay 22 million Euros to Woyome.

Joy News’ Sammy Darko who was present in court reported Ghanney as saying Betty Mould’s directive for payment came without a contract.

She, therefore, sent a memo to the Finance Minister in respect of the directive from the A-G, prior to submitting it to treasury for payment.

According to Ghanney, Treasury had difficulties in paying because there were two people - Woyome and Ostro Invest all seeking to be paid the amount.

She said she had to travel and, therefore, could not say if the said amount was paid and to whom it was paid.

Ghanney said on her return, she received another letter from Betty, this time with a default judgement insisting that Woyome be paid 51 million cedis.

She together with Woyome went to the budget officer asking for payment, with Woyome insisting to be paid all the 51 million cedis at a go, a request the budget officer said was impossible.

They, therefore, reached an agreement for the amount to be paid in three installments, with Woyome again insisting if they defaulted he would ask for interest to be paid to him.

Ghanney was emphatic that all the 51 million cedis was paid to Woyome.

Counsel for the defendant, Safo Buabeng was initially reluctant in cross-examining the witness, seeking rather to speak to his client, Woyome, before proceeding but the Judge insisted that the cross-examination must go on.

He, therefore, asked the witness if she was privy to a civil court ruling directing that Woyome be paid 17 million cedis in three installments.

Ghanney denied knowledge of such a ruling.

The case has been adjourned to June 14, 2012.
