Nana Yaa Jantuah Doesn't Deserve Our Money...& Her Job Either - Atik Mohammed

Nana Yaa Jantuah
Atik Mohammed is disappointed with the Public Relations Director of the Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC) Nana Yaa Jantuah.

The PNC's Policy Analyst wants Nana Yaa Jantuah out of office, claiming she doesn't deserve the mandate of Ghanaian to continue working with the PURC.

Nana Yaa Jantuah,as PURC's Director of Public Affairs, justified the increases in utility tariffs and stressed the need for payment to be made by Ghanaians.

She stressed that the PURC will not scrap off the tariffs despite the energy and water challenges in the country.

According to her, availability of power depends on the consumers' ability to pay the tariffs because without revenue, there will be continuous power cuts.

Nana Yaa Jantuah further called on the general public to channel their grievances through the PURC and stop attacking government for the tariffs increment.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, he wondered why the PURC PR Director remains at post after demeaning Ghanaians in an interview with host Kwami Sefa Kayi on the KokrokooThursday morning.

"Nana Yaa Jantuah is insensitive to the plight of Ghanaians...this woman doesn’t deserve the job we’ve given her. The money we’re paying her, she doesn’t deserve it. Because if you cannot tell us, on what basis then did you approve the increases in tariffs if you don’t know what is responsible or who is responsible...Ghanaians are not speaking loud enough. Regarding this dum sor, I can’t hear the sound.

Commenting further, he blamed the Mahama administration for government's failure to resolve the economic crises.

To him, government is the beginning and the end of Ghanaians' suffering but President John Mahama has chosen to "kill" Ghanaians by compounding their hardships.

They want to kill. They’re killing us," he reiterated.
