Gov't Should Spare Us Their Excuses . . . Ghanaians Deserve Better - Divine Nkrumah

National Youth Coordinator of the PPP, Divine Nkrumah says the government should spare Ghanaians excuses in failing to manage the economy.

According to him, Ghanaians deserve better governance from the Mahama administration and so, called on them to address the concerns of the citizenry.

Commenting on the utility tariff reduction by government, Divine Nkrumah wondered why Ghanaians must eulogize the government for reducing tariffs when it's the government's responsibility to improve the energy issues in the country.

He appealed for better services from the Mahama-led government because "we deserve better. We did not vote for them to come and give us explanations. Just to explain or to give credence to their negligence and the way that they’re mismanaging the economy. That’s not the reason why we voted for the NDC government. So, they should spare us. If that’s so, let them tell us to turn Ghana into an Animal Farm…They should spare us the excuses.”

Also addressing the issue on 'kokrokoo' on Peace FM, Member of Parliament for Bantama, Henry Kokofu expressed disappointment in the current administration claiming Ghanaians will very soon lose confidence in politicians due to the poor governance system of the incumbent government.

Though the government has agreed to reduce the tariffs, Henry Kokofu noted the energy situation in the country could have been much better if the NDC government has utilized the opportunities that were created by the erstwhile Kufour government.
