Woyome Case: Crime Has No Expiry Date - Charles Owusu

PPP Communicator, Charles Owusu has lauded former Attorney General, Martin Amidu for winning the Supreme Court ruling to cross-examine businessman, Alfred Agbesi Woyome over the infamous GHC 51.2 million judgment debt saga.

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Charles Owusu expressed satisfaction over the court ruling, stressing that it would help to bring finality to the case.

He lambasted the Government of Ghana for making lackadaisical attempts to retrieve the judgment debt money from Mr. Woyome.

He advised the government including political parties in the country to place the interest of Ghanaians first in all their endeavours, hence the need for Woyome to refund the money to the State coffers.

"Crime has no expiry date. Crime, it has no expiry date. Whatever it is, one day [one day, one day] it will catch up with you . . . It’s the citizens that make up a party. It’s when the citizens are successful that the members of a party can also be successful regardless of the party any person belongs to. So, let’s put Ghana first,” he said.

Charles Owusu commended Mr. Amidu for his relentless pursuit of the case to ensure that Woyome refunds the debt and further urged Ghanaians to vote President John Mahama out of office because his administration has failed to do due diligence to the Woyome saga.
