Atik Mohammed, Policy Analyst of the People's National Convention (PNC), has called on Ghanaians to show President John Dramani Mahama the exit.
Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Atik Mohammed stressed that President Mahama does not deserve to be Head of State and was of a strong view that he (President Mahama) happens to be the worst President in Ghana's history.
Reacting to the President's comment that he has adopted a "dead-goat syndrome" and so seems not very perturbed by the various demonstrations and strike actions that have characterized his administration, Atik Mohammed only had one word for the President;
"He doesn’t deserve a renewal..."
According to the PNC Policy Analyst, the President's recent quote disqualifies him for another term in office.
To him, the President is not ready to fix the economic crises confronting the Ghanaian masses and his posture "has given us a firm basis to say that he doesn’t deserve to lead us in the coming years. After his tenure, he doesn’t deserve a renewal…If you have a President who doesn’t listen to his citizens, then what is the basis for you having him as a President."
President John Mahama, delivering a speech on his three-day official State visit to Botswana, told a section of the Ghanaian populace there that he has "seen more demonstrations and strikes in my first two years. I don't think it can get worse. It is said that when you kill a goat and you frighten it with a knife, it doesn't fear the knife because it is dead already," adding that he has therefore adopted a "dead-goat syndrome."
In the Atik's view, the President was not joking when he made those remarks; hence admonishing Ghanaians not to vote him into power for a second term.
“From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. I’m not sure the President just decided out of the blue that this is the joke I want to share with Ghanaians in Botswana. In any case, it is not funny so how does it amount to joke?”
