An Appeal Court has stayed the suspension of Lawyer Hansen Kodwo Koduah, earlier reported for duping his client to the tune of GHC 50000.

Lawyer Hansen Koduah was suspended by Ghana Legal Council after he allegedly inflated the required filing fee.

Following the jailing of the three Montie FM contemnors, some supporters and high-profile members of the ruling party have been signing a book to petition President John Dramani Mahama to invoke his powers under Article 72 of Ghana's constitution.

Lawyer John Kumah, member of the NPP Communications team, has advised Ghanaians to take a cue from the fate of the Montie FM staff and two panelist convicted of contempt and be circumspect in their utterances.

According to him, people should not undermine the law of contempt because the constitution bestowed powers in the hands of the Judges, and until the law is repealed or amended, all must be guarded in their remarks about the judiciary, whether in writing or speech.

NDC Parliamentary candidate for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George has waded into discussions surrounding the imprisonment of the three Montie FM convicts.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Sam George stated that Judges are not infallible humans and so are prone to making mistakes.

He added that due to the infallible nature of Judges, there is the need for President John Mahama to intervene by invoking Article 72 to pardon the convicts, Salifu Maase a.k.a Mugabe, Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako-Gunn.
