Montie 3: Even Jesus Christ Didn't Condemn The Adulterous Woman - Ofosu Ampofo

Some government officials, NDC faithfuls and sympathizers of Salifu Maase a.k.a Mugabe, Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako-Gunn have signed a petition book for President John Mahama to intervene in the sentencing of the convicts to four months in prison.

The petitioners want the President to exercise his authority under Article 72 of Ghana's constitution and grant them a Presidential amnesty.

The opposition bench has vehemently objected to any pardon by the President and insisted that he allows the convicts to serve the court sentence.

They also argued that it will be a slap in the face of the Judges who convicted and sentenced them to four months for scandalizing the court.

Wading into the discussions, the Director of Elections of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo wants the President to act in the stead of Jesus Christ.

Giving a biblical quote, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo asked the nation to join the crusade for the Montie FM trio to be granted Presidential pardon, saying "let him who is without sin be the first to throw a stone."

According to Hon. Ofosu Ampofo, even Jesus Christ didn't condemn the adulterous woman in the bible nor the thief that hung on the cross with him.

He noted that the thief was pardoned even though he had committed a crime and so, believes that's the character that Christians should exude towards the convicts.

He therefore called on the Clergy to join the petitioners and raise their voices for the convicts to be pardoned.
