National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Sammy Awuku says that the party's Flagbearer Nana Addo will increase the salaries of Ghanaians when elected as President of the Republic.
According to Sammy Awuku, Nana Addo and the NPP have felt the suffering of salaried workers and therefore empathize with them.
Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, he noted that the Mahama administration has succeeded in collapsing local businesses, hence compounding the hardships confronting the citizenry.
He therefore urged the Ghanaian electorates not to make any mistake by voting for President John Mahama and his government during the December polls.
Sammy Awuku noted that "there's prosperity on the ballot and there’s misery on the ballot. Job creation is on the ballot paper and unemployment for hunger to strike you is on the ballot paper. Good healthcare is on the ballot paper and the person who will worsen your condition is on the paper too. Again, the crippling school feeding programme is on the ballot paper" but the ultimate deciders are the citizens of the country.
He stressed that it's about time that the youth in Ghana proved to the NDC government that they won't tolerate a non-performing government any longer.
"The way that the youth are suffering; it’s about time the youth movement takes a very strong position. Vote out any government that fails to perform in 4 years.”
He implored them to give Nana Addo headway to the Presidency, claiming their lives will be much better under the NPP regime.
“When Nana Addo comes, we believe that your salary is small and so we will increase it to better your lives, and also motivate you to work hard. So, we won’t come to collapse businesses…We’re not noted for crippling businesses. We’re noted for creating jobs. That’s our party’s tradition," he stated. |
