I will nominate some people to be examined by doctors-Prez Mills

As the 2012 elections inch closer, one issue that will not die anytime soon is the health status of President John Mills.

Issues concerning the President’s health have lingered on for years with many of his critics raising eyebrows about his fitness. Recently, reports were rife that President Mills went to Cuba to seek medical attention; a claim the president stridently denied.

But it appears previous explanations and denials about his health condition have not really gone down well with a section of the Ghanaian society as day in and day out the President wakes up to "face" those who doubt his condition.

"…thank you very much for asking about my health. This is Atta Mills facing you; you can draw your own conclusions,” President John Mills chided a reporter who had inquired about his health status during his encounter with some journalists yesterday at the Castle, Osu.

He was quick to express his willingness to undergo any test to prove otherwise speculations about his health.

President John Mills took time off to amuse the journalists by saying that after his examination, he will also "nominate" some people to be examined by doctors probably to stress his previous assertion that sickness is naturally normal.

“I want to invite doctors to come and examine Atta Mills and then they will tell you what is wrong. And then after that I will also nominate some people to be examined by the doctors,” wondering if his “continues existence is an impediment to some people.”

According to the President he has an "excellent physician”, stressing that, “so long as my physician is alive- and will always be, I am in his hands”.
