Some Hands Just Want To Undermine Confidence In Dr. Nduom's Businesses - Kwamena Duncan

Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwamena Duncan says the EOCO's invite to Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom and Hassan Ayariga forms part of the machinations of some hands in the government.

According to him, there are some people pushing the EOCO to assess the sources of the funds that the two candidates used to finance the campaigns and in the payment of their nomination fees.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Kwamena Duncan stated emphatically that the move is to undermine the confidence that Ghanaians have in the business establishments by Dr. Nduom in particular.

He noted that there are some forces attempting to attack the integrity of Dr. Nduom.

He wondered why the EOCO would only invite the PPP Presidential candidate, Dr. Nduom and Hassan Ayariga, Presidential candidate of APC without including the NPP and the ruling NDC.

“Why would you assume that, for us, we have the capacity to pay and others don’t have the capacity? Is it fair?” he questioned.

“There’s a hand behind this. What they’re even doing, it’s not intelligent. It’s not fair. It exposes the government to all forms of speculations that all you’re seeking to do, you’re not only attempting to affect that political parties fortunes but also are trying to undermine the business confidence that the Ghanaian people may have in the man’s business.”

Kwamena Duncan however blamed Dr. Nduom for his challenges because to him, when he should have made the ruling party a target in his campaigns, he was rather going about attacking the NPP Presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo.

To him, the NPP and PPP are all in opposition and want the NDC out of the Presidential race, so Dr. Nduom's political smear on the NPP is one of the causal factors in what he's facing in his political journey this year.

Also touching on the issue, the Consultant to the National Health Insurance Authority, Ametor Quarmyne, on the contrary, asked the Dr. Nduom to issue a disclaimer that he purportedly siphoned the GN Bank to pay off his filing fees.
