A
member of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Mr. Eric Ametor
Quarmyne says the culture where political parties boycott national
events should be a thing of the past.
He called on both the
ruling National Democratic Congress and the opposition New Patriotic
Party (NPP) to desist from such behaviour.
Mr. Ametor Quarmyne
expressed his distaste over such conduct by political figures in the
country, saying it has a negative toll on the progress of the nation.
According
to him, both the NPP and NDC which have since been noted for boycotting
certain government functions apparently make a U-turn to harness the
policies they once opposed.
Speaking on U TV's "Adekye Nsroma",
he further slammed the opposition party for boycotting the National
Economic Forum because to him, the forum brings together several
Ghanaians to deliberate on national issues. |
