Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has made shocking revelations about the close relationship that Nayeli Ametefe, woman at the center of the recent cocaine bust, had with certain top officials in the country.
Making his submissions on Adom FM's "Badwam", the outspoken MP strongly alleged that the cocaine woman is a close associate of President Mahama's brother, Ibrahim Mahama and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana's COCOBOD, Dr. Stephen Opuni.
Addressing the cocaine issue, Hon. Agyapong stressed that Ms. Nayeli Ametefe's move through the VVIP lounge at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) could not have been successful without assistance from Ibrahim Mahama, the President's brother.
"..but for this connection; she wouldn't get access to the VVIP, because of Ibrahim (Mahama). Yeah, I'm telling you. She got it because of Ibrahim,” he asserted.
The Assin-Central MP emphasized that President Mahama does not have any relation with the woman and so, called on Ghanaians not to rope the President's name in the cocaine issue.
However, he dared his brother to deny knowledge of any relationship between him (Ibrahim Mahama) and the woman.
He challenged the President’s brother to come out on a clean slate and he is ready to lay bare pictures of the two in the public domain.
"This girl has been to jail at Holland for three years. I don't have a problem with Ibrahim going out with her. But the problem I have with Ibrahim is that your brother is a President; you know that this girl [well-known drug dealer], when you're going out with this girl; you don't flaunt the relationship at the corridors (of power) to disgrace your brother.
"It's not President Mahama but I know this girl for a fact that she goes out with Ibrahim. Let Ibrahim come and challenge, then I will make public all the pictures."
On the personalities of the drug baroness and her accomplices, Kennedy Agyapong asked the nation not to tag them as "NDC or NPP".
"All these girls are not NDC girls. They're not NPP. They've made themselves thick cocaine girls. They're using us to make money."
