Former Mayor of Kumasi, Maxwell Kofi Jumah has advised the rank and file of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to bury their differences and rally behind the party's flagbearer for victory, come 2016.
Speaking on Kokrokoo on Peace FM, Kofi Jumah admonished the party leadership and members to stop their bickering and put aside their egos and support Nana Addo.
"...if a person avails himself like that, why don’t we support him? Why don’t we put aside our egos?”
Commenting on latest developments in the NPP where the party's National Chairman has been indefinitely suspended by the Disciplinary Committee amidst other internal wranglings, Kofi Jumah commended Nana Addo for keeping his calm and not fueling the turmoil.
To him, Nana Addo's responses and approach in the tumultuously era of the NPP are appropriate and the best remedy for the party.
“I like the stance that Akufo Addo has taken. I love it…I’m so happy about the position that Nana Akufo Addo has taken. He has exhibited some political maturity that [Kwame] I want to confess to you…that I didn’t believe he could reach that level. But he has exceeded it. He’s been very calm and he has been playing in such a way that he can work together with everybody." |
