Lawyer John Kumah, member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications team, has congratulated Ivor Greenstreet for being elected as Flagbearer of the Convention People's Party.
Ivor Greenstreet polled 1,288 votes, representing 64.2% of valid votes cast, routing Samia Nkrumah who polled 579 votes.
The others Joseph Agyapong and Bright Akwetey polled 83 and 42 votes respectively.
Speaking to host Nana Yaw Kesse on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, John Kumah advised the losers to consider their defeat as an act of God.
According to him, "God doesn't make a mistake" and so added that they should all rally behind the flagbearer and the CPP to foster unity in the party.
He further called on them to exercise patience and wait on their Maker, stressing that their star will shine at the appropriate time.
"They should take it as service to God and mankind. So, at the right time when God’s time is ripe, you will have your time. They should be patient and united because Ghana needs every one of them.” |
