Senior Journalist Kweku Baako has called on critics of Nana Addo's "1-factory 1-district" commitments to keep silent because they are "just making noise about nothing".
Kweku Baako told host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM'sKokrokoo that Nana Addo has done nothing wrong by promising Ghanaians that he will set up a factory in each district when voted into power.
According to him, it is possible for Nana Addo to make his promise fruitful but he however would not jump into conclusions till he sees documentation on how the programme will be executed.
Mr. Baako expressed worry over the logic of the critics of Nana Addo because in his earnest view, "Nana did no wrong in putting that out but obviously that’s not where it’s going to stop. They will come out with the programme, a comprehensive documentation which will be subject to public scrutiny."
He therefore expects the critics to wait for the NPP to roll out the programmes before they pass judgments on the issue.
“...wait for the documentation then you can comment," he stated.
He noted that if even the NPP is only able to put up 100 factories instead of the one district, one factory it proposes to make, some progress would have been made.
"....the country would have made some progress...that’s where the noise we’re making dwell on. But now, you’ve seen nothing and you’re just making noise about nothing,” he stated.
