Leave George Boateng Alone!, I Know Namoale Would Like To Contest Prez Mahama - Ursula Owusu

Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Ursula Owusu Ekuful, has disclosed the hidden motives of NDC leading member Nii Amasah Namoale towards President John Dramani Mahama.

Recently, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has had to contend with George Boateng, a member of the party who has revealed his intention to contest President John Mahama during the NDC Congress.

Some party executives, particularly the General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia publicly labeled George Boateng as a lunatic person who obviously needs psychiatric treatment.

Other NDC members have supported the claims by the General Secretary and so, have explicitly called on the party delegates to treat his (George Boateng) ambition with contempt.

Regardless of the intense efforts by the party leadership to derail the Presidential aspirant, it appears the party will not have only George Boateng to contend with but also Hon. Nii Amasah Namoale.

Hon. Nii Amasah Namoale is the Member of Parliament for the La Dadekotopon Constituency.

He is said to be secretly eyeing President John Mahama's position in the party and the Republic of Ghana.

According to NPP MP, Hon. Ursula Owusu, she can confidently put on record that Hon. Nii Amasah Namoale has a presidential ambition.

She disclosed on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" that he has been nursing interest in the Presidency for a very long time.

“I know that Namoale had a Presidential ambition. I know that he would like to contest.”

In respect of this, Hon. Ursula Owusu advised the NDC to allow George Boateng to contest for the flagbearership of the party.

He wants the NDC leadership to accord the same respect that they give to Akua Donkor, who she called NDC "local celebrity" to George Boateng.

“When George Boateng did all the work for you, you took the benefit of his hard work. But now that he has mustered courage to contest (President) John Mahama, he is a mad person…George Boateng is your own homegrown maverick.”
