NDC Is Making George Boateng "Irrelevant"... - Ade Coker

Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ade Coker has thrown his weight behind the party's General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia for refusing to issue a nomination form to Presidential hopeful, George Boateng.

According to Ade Coker, George Boateng only seeks to waste the party's time and this is why the NDC is strongly refusing to recognize his Presidential ambitions.

He told host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" that the NDC wants to make George Boateng "irrelevant" to contest the flagbearership of the party.

George Boateng on Tuesday went to the NDC head office to be issued with original copy of his nomination form for him to contest President John Mahama's seat but was later disappointed when the General Secretary once again refused to validate his nomination.

Though he's given indication to proceed to court if the General Secretary doesn't issue a form to him, Ade Coker stated emphatically on Kokrokoo that he (George Boateng) declined to wait for his nomination form at the headquarters.

“We’re making him irrelevant…Nobody has stopped him from taking the form. There’s a General Secretary. The General Secretary has not said anything to that effect. Nobody has blocked him. He went there and he (General Secretary) told him to wait but he went away.” he noted.
