CPP Will Pull A Major Surprise In This Year's Nov. 7 Elections - Kwesi Pratt Predicts

Kwesi Pratt has predicted a major success for the Convention People's Party in the November 7 Presidential elections this year.

Contributing on Peace FM's award-winning political programme'kokrokoo', Mr. Pratt told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that the CPP will pull surprises in the general elections.

He was optimistic about the chances of the CPP in the general elections due to the decision made by the party's delegates on the flagbearer position of the party.

The delegates on Saturday elected Ivor Greenstreet, two-time General Secretary of the Convention People's Party (CPP), to lead the party.

Ivor Greenstreet polled 1,288 votes, representing 64.2% of valid votes cast to defeat his three contenders Samia Nkrumah, Joseph Agyapong and Bright Akwetey who polled 579, 83 and 42 votes respectively.

Kwesi Pratt believed the delegates have made the right choice and so, expressed full confidence in the candidature of Ivor Greenstreet.

To him, the CPP under the leadership of Mr. Greenstreet will make a great impact on the November 7 general elections.

“We’re all getting in there to make sure that CPP becomes a formidable party. At the end of this election, CPP is going to surprise everybody. There will be a major surprise in Ghanaian politics…There are major surprises on the way because I have full confidence in Ivor Greenstreet and his ability to mobilize and organize,” he stated.
