Whether We Like It Or Not Greenstreet Is CPP Flagbearer . . . It Will Not Change - Pratt Tells Samia

Kwesi Pratt has congratulated Ivor Greenstreet over his candidacy as flagbearer of the Convention People's Party (CPP).

Mr. Pratt touted the achievements of Ivor Greenstreet, revealing he has spearheaded several developmental projects during his days at the University of Ghana at Legon.

He further noted that Mr. Greenstreet is a selfless and an extreme devotee of the CPP and seeking the welfare of the CPP, who would freqently meet all delegates personally to sell his message of unity and patriotism to them.

He also chided critics of Mr. Greenstreet who have made his physical challenge a topical issue, stressing that he (Greenstreet) is not disabled but encountered a fatal accident that could have claimed his life.

But for divine intervention and the help of his parents, he was paralyzed.

Having eulogized Ivor Greenstreet for showing good leadership qualities in the CPP, Mr. Pratt warned members of the party on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' not to sabotage the success of the Presidential candidate-elect.

“Whether we like it or not, Greenstreet is the Presidential candidate of the CPP and is not going to change. He is the Presidential candidate. He’s the person who has been voted for."

He narrowed his submissions on the former Chairperson of the CPP, Samia Nkrumah who until her recent defeat at the party's national delegates congress was in the race with Ivor Greenstreet and other two contestants.

He labeled Samia Nkrumah's claims that Ivor Greenstreet bribed his way to clinch victory during the congress as an "insult" to the face of the delegates who play a pivotal role in the party.

According to him, for Samia "to suggest that these people only take money to vote, it's an insult to the delegates."

Mr. Pratt therefore advised her to zip her lips and rally behind Mr. Greenstreet.
