Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has dismissed claims by the party's General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong that he was unaware of Nana Addo's "Rise and Build" Tour.
Speaking to host Nana Yaw on "Kokrokoo" on Peace FM, Nana Akomea noted that the party's Presidential candidate, Nana Addo hinted Kwabena Agyepong about his tour during a National Executive Council meeting.
Earlier comments by the NPP General Secretary indicated that he (Kwabena Agyepong) may have been sidelined by the NPP because he was oblivious of any tour by Nana Addo.
He said on Okay FM's "Ade Akye Abia" show that he only got to know about it on the internet.
He further added that despite his selfless efforts to help the NPP, the party does not accord him the least respect and courtesy and has always been kept in the dark on issue regarding official activities of the flag bearer.
But according to Nana Akomea, the party's Presidential candidate told the executives about his "Rise and Build" Tour when they went for their NEC meeting for which Mr. Agyepong was present.
Nana Akomea also urged the party leaders and members to comply with the directive by Nana Addo for them to stop lamenting about the NPP on the air waves.
“I am very concerned about what is happening (in the party). I have made a clear decision in my mind that we will have to resolve these issues. The radio campaign in our party is not helping any of us. Let us stop discussing NPP matters on the radio,” Nana Addo stated at the St. Luke Methodist Church.
The NPP Communications Director told the party to allow the internal structures laid down to address issues to work. |
