Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Parliamentary candidate for Ofoase-Ayirebi on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party, has condemned the recent increments in petroleum products.
Ghanaians were welcomed into the New Year by fuel price hikes which took effect on Monday, January 4th.
The cost of some petroleum products have shot up between 18 and 27 per cent following the passage of the levy by Parliament.
Addressing the issue on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Kojo Oppong Nkrumah expressed disgust over the fuel price increments stressing it will overburden Ghanaians.
He bemoaned government's decision to increase fuel prices, advising Ghanaians to vote out the ruling party in November 7 elections this year.
According to him, it is obvious that the NDC has no clue to remedy the economic crises confronting Ghanaians.
“Vote against us when NPP comes into power and does the same thing. If NDC does it, vote against them for everybody to realize that politicians should not be allowed to take Ghanaians for granted,” he said. |
