Arrest Abductors Of Y FM's Presenter Now! - Kwesi Pratt Charges Security Services

Kwesi Pratt has strongly condemned the barbaric act by some unknown thugs who kidnapped Y FM's Presenter and allegedly had multiple sexual orgies with her.

The unknown men abducted the female host of the "Y Lounge" show, a programme on Takoradi-based radio station Y FM, a couple of days ago and took pictures of themselves sexually harassing and torturing their victim; and then uploaded the pictures onto the victim's Facebook account.

The victim, Adaeze Onyinyechie Ayoka, popularly known as Ms. Ada, according to sources, was last seen after hosting her show on Friday, and efforts to reach her on her mobile phone proved futile.

Reacting to the inhumane treatment the victim underwent, Kwesi Pratt, Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper called on security personnel in the country not to spare any effort in getting to the bottom of the matter.

He expressed worry over the incident stressing that the kidnappers should not be left off the hook since their dehumanising action could mar the life of the young lady forever.

I cannot believe that this thing is going on in Ghana that some people can just abduct somebody’s daughter and torture her like this. We’re watching. All of us are watching keenly whether the country’s security personnel can arrest the thugs or it will also become one of the mysteries; unresolved mysteries," he fumed.

Contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Mr. Pratt said in a civilised society like Ghana, such incidents should not be tolerated at all.

I am very [very] frightened. I cannot imagine that somebody’s child or somebody’s mother or somebody’s sister will undergo such treatment. This is a major [major] issue that calls for all Ghanaians whether NPP or NDC or Pastor or whatever efforts in addressing it. It is more important than any other subject; kidnapping and torture? I am frightened to the core,” he added.

Medical Superintendent at the GHAPOHA hospital, where the victim is receiving treatment, Dr. Boateng Duah says the Y FM presenter who was allegedly raped and tortured has regained consciousness after being sedated.

Ms Ada came out of sedation at 5:30pm Tuesday evening after she was found 1am Tuesday dawn looking dirty, half-naked and confused.
