Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, National Vice Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) says President John Dramani Mahama has improved the lives of Ghanaians by his good works under four years.
Contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, he stated emphatically that the Mahama administration has created 400,000 jobs for the people of Ghana.
According to him, "Ghana is on the rise" under the able administration of President John Mahama
He recounted some achievements of the government, under the leadership of President Mahama, saying the government has provided new buses to curb the challenges in transportation as well as streamlining the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) among other social interventions.
“Ghana is on the rise…When we came back, school feeding was about 440 children. Now, school feeding takes about 1.7 million children. Is it collapsing? So, those who are direct beneficiaries of these social interventions know what is happening.”
Casting doubts on Nana Addo's "1 Village, 1 Dam" campaign promise to the people in the Northern Region, Mr. Ofosu Ampofo noted that unlike the NPP flagbearer's somehow empty promise; President John Mahama and his government always does feasibility studies of a project before making a promise to implement it.
Mr. Ofosu Ampofo's attestation seems to have subtly resurrected a claim by the Deputy Minister of Education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa that the Mills/Mahama administration has created 1.6 million jobs under a year.
