Director of Elections for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has advised the immediate past moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Martey to stop his public outcries.
According to Mr. Ofosu Ampofo, Prof. Martey's allegations are baseless and so urged him not to disgrace himself and the Presbyterian Church.
Samuel Ofosu Ampofo noted on Peace FM's 'kokrokoo' that "his (Rev. Martey) continuous effusions [is] are bringing the Presby Church to its lowest ebb. It will help him if he remains silent."
He lambasted the moderator over his claims that he was being lobbied for the position of Chairman of the Peace Council.
Samuel Ofosu Ampofo said no one had to lobby Rev. Martey to become the Chairman of the Council because the Council already has laid down procedures for the position.
" . . Sometimes it’s unbecoming of a religious person like him to say that someone called him that he would want to make him a Chairman of the Council . . . He said the person was lobbying him to make him a Chairman of the Council.”
He cautioned him not to continue talking since his words have become a trap for him. |
