Kwamena
Duncan, the Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)
has expressed uttermost disgust over the grapevine reports that the
Ghana Black Stars are grappling with financial and accommodation issues
which they have requested prior to their third Group G clash with
Portugal.
The players and officials have been deadlocked in
negotiations over appearance fee hours to their crucial game against the
Portuguese team.
According to a source close to the team, while
the players demanded $ 100,000 as appearance fee for the World Cup, the
officials insisted on offering them with $ 75,000, hence intensifying
the feud in the camp.
Delivering his submissions on Peace FM on
"Kokrokoo", Kwamena Duncan bemoaned the attitude of the officials and
blamed the Mahama administration for the stalemate in the Black Stars
camp.
Registering his displeasure with the government, to him,
the current administration has once again failed to give Ghanaians
"cause to be happy."
To him, the Sports Minister, Elvis Afriyie
Ankrah and his cohort have apparently disgraced the nation, and so urged
soccer fans in the nation not to condone the misconduct of the
Ministry.
“We cannot continue and look on…Sometimes; we need to be angry at these things.
“2014, World Cup Brazil; Ghana did not give us cause to be happy," he stressed.
