Pratt Advises Nana Addo: Beware of NPP "Fore-Members"...Anytime They Talk You Lose Thousands Of Votes

The Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. has advised the three-time flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo and his team to be mindful of the comments passed by party communicators.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" programme, Kwesi Pratt ascribed the defeat of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during the 2012 Presidential elections to the utterances by some active NPP members.

According to Kwesi Pratt Jnr., the active members he called "Fore-members" of the party, made some disparaging remarks prior to the 2012 elections which caused the downfall of Nana Addo.

He therefore warned the NPP not to ply such ill-fated path in its current political ambition.

“I am very [very very] convinced that during the last elections; Nana Akufo-Addo, one of the reasons he lost was statements made by fore-members of the party. Anytime they talk, you lose votes and sometimes you lose the votes in the thousands,” he recounted.

He also advised the party faithfuls to be decorous in their utterances and ensure that they "clean up" their backyard before they solicit votes from the Ghanaian electorate.

Alluding to some uncouth words which some members of the party and leadership showered upon their new Executives, particularly the party's Chairman Paul Afoko and General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyapong; Kwesi admonished the NPP to unite and stop attacking the leaders.

“These things need to stop. I am not inciting anybody. I am saying that we have to move away from this…Clean up your politics," he insisted.
