Over 60 children at the Eye of the Lord Orphanage at Otoase, a suburb of Adoagyiri-Nsawam in the Eastern Region, were revealed to have been living in terrible conditions.

The plight of the children became the cynosure of all eyes asUTV in collaboration with Peacefmonline.com launched undercover investigations into the lives of the deprived children.

Following the revelations, the Eye of the Lord Orphanage, managed by a blind man called Samuel Kwapong and his wife, became the bone of contention with the queen mother of the community demanding a lion's share of the donations and on a mission to thwart the interventions of the crew and the donors.

Due to the misconceptions created by the queen mother after her "agreement company" demand proved futile; the Social Welfare at the locality intervened to bring the situation under control.

Speaking to Peacefmonline.com, Nana Oye Lithur who also spoke on UTV intimated that the children's welfare is of major concern to her Ministry and so, instructed the Social Welfare to take the matter up.

"I want to assure you that the children's interest is paramount. Their health is very crucial to us. So, that will influence the decision we will take," Nana Oye Lithur assured.
