Former National Youth Organizer for the Convention People's Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr., popularly known as Kabila has warned the Flagbearer-elect of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to take precautionary measures against his party faithfuls.
Kabila admonished Nana Addo to be wary of the people hero-worshipping him because to him, the masses can shatter the dreams of a great leader.
Making his submissions during Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" programme, Kabila advised Nana Addo not to be prideful by the "over-zealous" party folks singing praises of him as the flagbearer of the party.
According to him, such crowd around him can jeopardize his victory in the future.
“Sometimes, great leaders are destroyed by the people around them. And so they’re the people we should be very careful about. I’m not saying somebody should start doubting the other person but I’m saying caution must be given.”
He however congratulated Nana Addo for winning the flagbearership contest by a landslide and further advised him to leave the battle in the hands of his Maker.
As he (Nana Addo) prepares for the 2016 general elections, Kabila was of a strong view that Nana Addo needs the divine support of his Almighty Deity.
“It is not enough to just say the battle is the Lord’s. Take the battle to the Lord. Commit the battle into God’s hands. It is at the stage that the battle becomes the Lord’s," he urged Nana Addo. |
