National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has commended the thousands of Burkinabes and the nation's Armed Forces who were in protest against President Blaise Campaore.
The masses swamped the streets in a bid to reject Campaore's presidency and set the country's Parliament ablaze.
Speaking on Peace FM's Morning Show "Kokrokoo", John Boadu blamed Burkina's President Blaise Campaore for the uproar that arose from the citizenry.
According to him, his adamant character called for the reaction from the people because in his view, "Blaise Campaore could have avoided this and moved on.”
“I think they’ve done very [very] well. I just hope that what’s happening won’t culminate in a coup d’état...it’s an eye opener for almost everybody” to do the right thing, he stated.
He urged the nation to set up an interim government to administer the affairs of the country.
Meanwhile, in latest development, President Campore has stepped down. |
