Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Kweku Baako, has lashed out at the Spokesperson for Alan Kyeremateng, Nana Ohene Ntow over the culture of leaked materials in the New Patriotic Party.
Kweku Baako jabbed Nana Ohene Ntow for making comments to the effect that he had in his possession some tapes which implicate the two-time Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Nana Addo.
Nana Ohene is quoted to have said on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen talk programme last week that some delegates have been facing intimidation from the Nana Addo's camp.
He alleged that several delegates were intimidated to declare support for Nana Addo.
He also claims that Nana Addo induced the former Deputy Northern Regional Minister, Mohammed Amin Anita with $ 5000 to pledge his support for him.
According to Ohene Ntow, evidence available to him confirms the allegation leveled against Nana Addo.
“I am surprised that people are rather turning around accusing Alan of vote-buying. Why are people not talking about instance where people have confessed to receiving 5000 dollars to declare support for Akufo-Addo?
“Amin Anta said on a tape that he was given 5000 dollars to support Nana Addo and it's public,” the former General Secretary of the main opposition party told Radio XYZ, Tuesday.
But speaking on Peace FM's Morning Show "Kokrokoo", Kweku Baako stated emphatically that the posture of Nana Ohene Ntow could lead some to speculate he is responsible for every tape that is leaked prior to the primaries on Saturday, October 18th.
To him, Nana Ohene Ntow was "indiscreet" for bluffing about the release of the leaked tapes.
“You’ve given us a certain level of tracing distribution at least to you or your appreciation of the contents and the need for it to be used in a certain manner."
Pledging support for Nana Addo, Kweku Baako pointed out that despite the release of the leaked tapes to denigrate Nana Addo, he will win the votes by a landslide.
“He can even sleep in the house. It’s out of respect that he should go out and meet the delegates and tell them that you want their votes. Otherwise he could have sat at home; he will still gather the kind of massive (support or endorsement) he has. It’s just his time, the mood of the party. That is it. It’s something you can’t do anything about,” Kweku Baako said. |
