Aspiring
National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Sammy Awuku
appears disgusted over the deep-seated corrupt practices that has since
characterized the governing National Democratic Congress.
Sammy Awuku wonders why the incumbent government is finding it difficult to combat corruption in the country.
According
to him, the level of corruption in the NDC government under the
leadership of President John Dramani Mahama has suddenly become
"legendary", adding that it has left Ghanaians hopeless.
The Mahama government has since the year 2013 recorded a series of corruptible practices which critics say are alarming.
Ranging
from judgement debt cases (which begun under the Mills-Mahama
administration) to the rot at the Ghana Youth Employment and
Entrepreneurial Agency (GYEEDA) among others, Sammy Awuku believed that
the government has nothing to offer the Ghanaian citizenry.
In
his view, “any inheritance that John Mahama and the NDC can bequeath to
Ghana is when they are voted out of power and Ghanaians say ‘Never
again'."
Speaking on "National Agenda" on Oman FM,
Sammy Awuku stated that "the level of corruption and rot in this
government is legendary" and was cynical about efforts to curb it. |
