Former
Member of Parliament for Asokwa constituency, Maxwell Kofi Jumah has
expressed disappointment in President John Mahama for postponing his
delivery of the State of the Nation address.
The State of the
Nation address which was supposed to come off today (Thursday) has been
postponed to Tuesday, February 25 for reasons yet-to-be known.
A
letter from the Presidency to the Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe
Adjaho indicated that President Mahama will not deliver the Nation
address on Thursday due to "unforeseen circumstances."
But speaking in an interview with Peacefmonline.com,
Hon. Kofi Jumah slammed President Mahama, saying his 'unprecedented'
move to deny the nation his account of the State this week connotes that
his government is "disorganized”.
“Where it comes out that we
have to postpone the delivery of State of the Nation address; for
whatever the reason, it is a bad thing to happen…It connotes a President
who is disorganized; an administration that is disorganized and doesn’t
know what it’s doing." |
