Dr. Serebour Insults & Goes Scot Free...But A Politician Would've Been Considered Arrogant - Fred Agbenyo

Fred Agbenyo, a Deputy Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has slammed the General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association, Dr. Frank Serebour for refusing to retract his unsavory remarks about government Communicators.

According to him, had it been a member of the ruling NDC's Communication team who made such uncouth statements on the air waves; hell would have broken loose in the country.

He therefore wondered why people have restrained themselves from addressing the behaviour of Dr. Serebour.

Dr. Serebour, speaking in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" on Monday, stated emphatically that he would not retract the insults he hurled at a certain NDC Activist, Yeboah Boateng on Hot FM last Friday.

He described the NDC Activist as "unintelligent", stressing that if he was intelligent he would have perhaps become a practicing doctor like himself (Dr Serebour).

The GMA General Secretary further vowed to "descend into the gutters" with government communicators after the NDC activist dared the striking doctors to lay their working tools down and resign from post since "Ghanaians are tired of them."

Speaking to host Kwami Sefa Kayi, Fred Agbenyo, who could not bear the behaviour of Dr. Serebour, expressed shock over his decision not to retract or apologise for his remarks.

If it were me, Fred Agbenyo, who said something like this; then the whole world would come to a standstill because I’m a politician. Because I’m a politician, I’m gagged. I can’t say anything. If you say it, they will refer to me as arrogant because it’s your party which is in power. I think we’re not being fair to ourselves. We’re not simply being fair to ourselves. No one is any more or any less important than you are in this country," he said.
