Striking Doctors Are Not Being Fair To Ghanaians - Anim Piesie

Anim Piesie, member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communication team, has implored the striking medical doctors to rescind their decision and stay on the negotiation table with the government.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Anim Piesie noted that the government has the doctors' demands at heart and working to accomplish them.

According to him, the government has been very fair to the doctors by ensuring a good condition of service for them.

He recounted that the government has made some proposals to better the conditions of service of the doctors but to him, it appears the doctors are rather being too hard on Ghanaians and themselves.

He noted that the government is keeping her side of the deal with the doctors and therefore behooved the striking medical doctors to return to the negotiation table.

He further called for immediate rescission of the nationwide strike.

“The doctors are not being fair. The government has presented her proposal as well as the doctors have done theirs…For them to have withdrawn their services…I am saying that they’ve not dealt fairly with Ghanaians.”
