“The spirit of the nation is down. Inertia [inertia]! Look, a multiple of issues; resolve one. Just this energy problem, Mr. President! Just this one energy challenge!! Please, assemble your best brains...We have the brains. Let’s use them.”
"Sometimes, you have to get angry to get things done", quote by Legendary Ang Lee.
In the wake of Ghana's crippling economy, James Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly called Kabila believes the onus lies on President John Dramani Mahama to stamp his feet on the ground and ensure resolve the energy crises confronting the nation.
According to him, it is about time the President got very "angry" with the authorities in charge of generation and supply of power to the nation.
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has begun implementing a 24- hour power rationing plan.
Customers are expected to experience 24 hours power outage and then have the power restored for the next 12 hours.
Speaking on Peace FM's current affairs programme "Kokrokoo", the former National Youth Organizer of the Convention People's Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh made demands on the President to act swiftly to resolve the grievous power outages in the country.
Kabila, who almost lost words as he discussed the perennial blackouts in the country, called on President John Mahama not to take it kindly with the people responsible for the energy sector.
He insisted that President John Mahama should express his anger over the power cuts that have bedeviled the economy.
“GRIDCO, VRA, ECG, PURC; they are all products of John Dramani Mahama – NDC decisions and indecisions. I think the President must get angry at the present situation to be able to move with speed…” to resolve the grievous power outages.
Kabila further noted that due to the erratic power supply coupled with other multiple issues under the Mahama regime; Ghanaians are no more in high spirits until the President mobilizes experts to solve the issue.
“The spirit of the nation is down. Inertia [inertia]! Look, a multiple of issues; resolve one. Just this energy problem, Mr. President! Just this one energy challenge!! Please, assemble your best brains...We have the brains. Let’s use them.”
