The National Democratic Party (NDP) has expressed its support for the anticipated "Dumsↄ" demonstration yet to hit the streets of the nation.
Communications Director of the NDP, Ernest Owusu Bempah says the National Democratic Party (NDP) will stand shoulder to shoulder with the members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) on the "Wↄn Gbo" Dumsↄ Demo.
The National Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has hinted of a nationwide demonstration in protest against the Mahama administration over the unending power crises in the country.
The demonstration is said to be led by the party's flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa-Addo and host of dignitaries in the political fraternity.
In a press statement signed by the NDP Communications Director, Owusu Bempah; the party "considers it long overdue for the mass demonstration in protest of deception of Ghanaians on the unparalleled economic disaster of Dumsor plaguing the nation."
"Needless to recount the endless cases in the corruption deluge that has engulfed the nation since the Mills/Mahama NDC Administration, it is ridiculous to look elsewhere for reasons for our economic woes. The NDP therefore see the Dumsor as the effect of insufficient leadership that has consequently led us into bankruptcy in the generation of electricity," the statement read.
He further endorsed the Wↄn Gbo demonstration "as long overdue and calls for more actions to get the NDC assume more responsible leadership in the governance of our nation."
