Moses Asaga Does Not Respect; He's Either Dull Or Insulting Ghanaians - Kwesi Pratt

Moses Asaga
Kwesi Pratt, Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper has descended heavily on the Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) , Moses Asaga over his recent comments.

Moses Asaga, speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" regarding the new fuel prices told Ghanaians to appreciate the efforts by the Authority to have managed the increment at 9 percent.

According to him, Ghanaians are somehow privileged that petroleum prices have hiked up only by 9% resulting in what the Public Relations Officer of his outfit says is an insignificant figure; thus 28 pesewas per litre.

Moses Asaga addressing the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo for describing the government as "insensitive", told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that “In Germany where Nana Akufo-Addo was yesterday, a gallon of petrol is $6.48; in Ghana today, a gallon of petrol is $3.3; in UK last night a gallon of petrol was $7.68…and therefore if we are doing $3, 30 cents a gallon and Amsterdam where we import [our products] from is doing $6.48 per gallon, I think that people shouldn’t take us out as if we are insensitive."

Reacting to the comments by Moses Asaga, Mr. Pratt believes the NPA Boss' statements are nothing but a slap in the face of Ghanaians.

Contributing on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", he minced no words by describing the NPA Boss as being "disrespectful" towards Ghanaians.

“He does not respect us. Because if he respected us, he wouldn’t raise such issues…There’s no sense in it but a leader who we pay at the end of the month, he drives government car freely, he resides in government bungalow; looks us in the face and insults us…What he said is typical insult.”

He further added that per his (Moses Asaga's) line of thought, "he is either insulting us or rather dull. One of the two…True [true true] if the man is not unintelligent, then he thinks I’m rather stupid because how can you talk like that?”
