NDC MP Condemns Acid Attack On NPP Upper East Regional Chairman

NDC Member of Parliament for Prestea Huni Valley Constituency, Francis Adu Blay Koffie has called on the Police personnel to apprehend the assailants who poured acid on the late Mahama Adam.

The Upper East NPP Chairman, Mahama Adam suffered acid burns resulting in his death Thursday morning at the Bolgatanga Hospital.

Though the Police have reportedly arrested a suspect and have begun investigations into the incident, Hon. Blay advised the Police not to treat the culprits with kid gloves.

Contributing to Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Hon. Blay told host Nana Yaw Kesse that the Police must let the law take its course and justice prevail in this case.

Also touching on the issue, Professor Kofi Agyekum also bemoaned the attacks and questioned the logic in the recent attack on the NPP Upper East Chairman.

To him, the attack is barbaric and must not be tolerated in political circles.
