A twenty-two year old man has decapitated his
brother at Asamankese in the Eastern Region.
Somi Atow, 21 years, was beheaded by his elderly
brother for allegedly accusing him of witchcraft.
According to sources, the two brothers had a heated
argument on the eve of the incident and neighbours say they later found Somi
Atow in his room in a pool of blood.
The neighbours explained that due to their inability to
understand the local parlance of the two brothers at the time of their
argument, they couldn't intervene.
They reported the incident to the Police who sought
the hide-out of the suspect, Somi Dapler.
The police arrested Somi Dapler who perpetrated the
crime and upon interrogation, the suspect admitted slitting the head of his
brother but explained the brother accused him of being the bane of the family
and also killing their father with witchcraft.
Somi Dapler got infuriated by the accusations and
decided to emit his fury on his brother, thereby leading to his death.
