Two persons have been rescued after a galamsey pit
collapsed at Subreso in the Ashanti Region.
The miners who were working got trapped when the
pit caved in on Sunday.
The names of the two miners rescued were given as
Mumuni and Kweku Amponsah. So far, one person has died as a result of the
collapse.
The deceased body has been deposited at the morgue of the Tepa Government Hospital.

Reports also indicate that five more miners are
still trapped in the rubble and yet to be rescued.
