Incarcerated Bawku Central MP expresses gratitude to President Mahama for granting him pardon

Imprisoned Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Adamu Daramani Sakande has thanked President John Mahama for granting him pardon.

The MP who is currently responding to treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital expressed his profound gratitude to the President for the Presidential pardon which sets him free from his jail term.

He was pardoned for medical reasons by President Mahama last week after serving four months in prison.

An Accra High Court charged the Bawku Central MP for perjury and deceiving a public officer, and also found him guilty of false declaration of office, in August this year.

Mr. Daramani Sakande also wished to meet his family and his constituents very soon.
