Release our colleague or we will lay down our tools – GABLS

The Ghana Association of the Biomedical Laboratory Scientists together with the Korle-Bu chapter of the Association has threatened to lay down their tools if their colleague is not released by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).

John Ekow Aidoo was reportedly arrested by the BNI last Thursday without any apparent reason.

There have been several calls on the BNI to release John Ekow Aidoo but to no avail.

Now, the Ghana Association of the Biomedical Laboratory Scientists wouldn’t take it kindly with the investigative agency as the National Secretary of the Association, Victor Degenu seeks the whereabouts of their colleague.

Mr. Victor Degenu dreads the nation may not be safe for them since according to him, their colleague had decided to go to work; only to be arrested for no reason.

“Where is our colleague? We cannot guarantee our own safety at work. You inform your family you are coming to work and that is all about you. Today in this modern Ghana, you come to work and people come to arrest you without anything. We are not sure of our safety,” he made these queries on Citi FM.

He called on the appropriate authorities to intervene and release their colleague or they will soon lay down their tools.
