NPP Chairman Should Go - Ursula

The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West of the New Patriotic Party, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has reiterated her call on the Greater Regional Chairman of the party to step down during the primaries this year.

Hon. Ursula Owusu on Tuesday asked the Greater Accra delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to vote out the current Executive members to pave way for new and exuberant ones.

She expressed disappointment in the executives during her interview with Adom TV.

Speaking on Oman FM, Hon. Ursula reinforced her position, stressing that the Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Mr. Ishmael Ashietey should cede power to his contender, Isaac Amo.

According to her, the incumbent Regional Chairman did nothing to help the party clinch victory in the 2012 general elections.

She expounded that he (Ishmael Ashitey) shirked his duties to the party and so, played no vital role in the party's dreams during the 2012 elections. She added that Mr. Ashitey had no strategy to help the party win the electoral battle.

She therefore vouched for another competitor to hold the position in order to enhance the party's fortunes in the 2016 general elections.

“I’m using this platform to endorse Isaac Amo and to ask everybody who has a vote that Chairman Ashietey should go.”
