A leading member of the governing
National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a Public Interest Lawyer, Sam Pee
Yalley has launched a blistering attack on the newly elected National
Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku.
He
urged Sammy Awuku to lead the NPP youth with a sense of maturity and
desist from somehow his "childish" ways, now that he has been given an
office in the party.
According to him, Sammy Awuku is noted for
being a "loudmouth"; a character he believes can ruin the fortunes of
the NPP should he not change his ways and therefore asked him to sift
his words before he makes any public address
He advised Sammy Awuku to realize the impact of his position on the masses of the party and Ghanaians at large.
Obviously unhappy with the attitude of the NPP National Youth Organizer-elect, Mr. Pee Yalley, speaking on U TV's "Adekye Nsroma" programme, charged him (Sammy Awuku) to carefully understand the intricacies of his position and carefully choose his words.
“The
strongest thing which is the weakest part of the chain is Sammy Awuku.
Sammy now should know he’s not a student leader again and he’s not just a
TESCON coordinator. He’s now the Youth Organizer of the part…If you’re a
leader; you will be leading people with your maturity.”
He however held strongly that the new leadership is by far the “best executive ever in the NPP”.
Touching
on the election of Mr. Kwabena Agyapong as the new NPP General
Secretary, Sam Pee Yalley was cocksure of his (Kwabena Agyapong) able
leadership.
“You can count on his loyalty; passion for the NPP…He
is a very focused noble-headed person…this is one of the best
congresses I have seen in my life…It was a perfect congress by all
standards," he said.
